Right now on my blog, I talk about Recent Films, Classic Films, Recent Television, Classic Television…
Yesterday I got the idea of changing the blog to a blog strictly for Classic Films starring or featuring people of color…
But not only do I love just about all the classics, but as is expected I would have more access to all the Hollywood classics as well.
Classic Films starring/featuring People of Color
Pros: Something different, something educational, something needed
Cons: A lot of “race films” are lost, a lot of race films just about had the same central story lines so it would be a little harder to talk about all of them individually (I guess this would be good for becoming extra creative though right?)
Classic Films in General
Pros: Better access to a lot of films, more diverse storylines, probably would attract more views to the blog as well.
Cons: Old Hollywood films, especially ones with a predominantly White cast are talked about and reviewed constantly…unless I check out the lesser-known, low budget ones that are more than likely in the public domain or have easier access.
What do you all think? What route should I go or what suggestions do you have?
